What our members are saying about their experience with GrowthCraft!

Funding

Banking Relationships/SBIR/VC Intros/GTM Strategy/Customer Acquisition.

Access to funding comes in all shapes and sizes.

Non-dilutive, Equity funding, Debt funding, Crowdfunding, Bootstrapping, Go to market strategies, and customer acquisition are all available to you! Each pathway begins with the GrowthCraft Assessment.

If your startup holds potential for significant societal or economic impact, GrowthCraft can educate you on the non-dilutive funding process through Federal grant programs like SBIR/STTR.

Securing VC and Angel funding begins with fortifying your fundamentals and developing a solid fundraising strategy. GrowthCraft guides you and, if you are deemed ready, provides warm introductions to selected investors in our network if your offer aligns with their criteria.

Debt funding requires education on options, assessing financial readiness, preparing loan applications, ensuring compliance, developing sustainable repayment plans, and providing ongoing advice and performance monitoring. Our Advisors have a network of bank and private lenders and can provide support each step of the way.

Crowdfunding can be a powerful tool for achieving your fundraising goals, but without proper understanding, it can waste countless hours producing zero results. GrowthCraft provides essential insights, guides you to the right platform, and facilitates personalized introductions so you're not lost in the mix.

Starting and growing a business using your own money, allowing you to have more control over your business but may involve higher personal financial risk. You can also use the profits you make, and other low-cost resources instead of getting funds from outside sources like investors or banks.

Outlines a comprehensive plan that a company needs to succeed in the market with its product or service. This is done by leveraging these components: the target market, the company’s value proposition, distribution channels, pricing strategies, marketing and sales strategies, customer service and support, metrics and KPI’s

The process and strategies a business uses to obtain new customers. This can be done by effectively leveraging marketing campaigns, advertising, social media outreach, content marketing, referrals, and various sales techniques. The business looks to become self-funded through its own sales process and new customers.

FAQ’s

GrowthCraft’s value is filling the gaps that exist in your venture, that are holding you back from your definition of success. GrowthCraft Membership is not a “check the box” experience, not a linear pathway of checklists to follow. Every venture has its path, and GrowthCraft is ready to find ways to fill gaps and point you in the right tactical and strategic directions to get on the path to success.

We don’t offer equity funding per se. We do however make sure that you are as ready as possible to have conversations with investors. Including Pitch Reviews and Feedback, being Go to Market ready, having your financials in order, and more. GrowthCraft Advisors can offer guidance on accessing non-dilutive (federal grant) funding and several forms of dilutive (investor) funding. In addition to traditional equity-based investing mechanisms, we also advise and assist companies in applying for non-dilutive funding via Federal grant programs such as SBIR/STTR.

Nope! Our membership is on a month-to-month basis and can be canceled at any time. We know the startup journey is long and winding, and we’re committed to being of help for as long as you need it. In addition, our community is highly collaborative: Our advisors engage with each other while also engaging with you via Advisor 1:1’s, Office Hours, and more, as a start-up to solve your most pressing problems. We also offer cultural collaboration opportunities with other community members such as Founder’s Forums and Expert Sessions, etc.)

No. You can work with any or all of our advisors as you like. They are all independent and even own and operate their businesses. The real question would be WHY would you want this? You’d miss out on all the advantages of being part of a vibrant, collaborative community designed to be your support group, peer advisor group, and collective think tank.

We have many different options available to you to engage with our community of advisors. We offer 30-minute conversations in the form of Office Hours, similar in approach to conversations with a faculty advisor in a college or university setting. We also offer informal conversations before, during, and after GrowthCraft events and “off the record,” informal conversations at public in-person events. We, of course, offer options for engagement with Advisors via brief answers to email questions. Finally, we have opportunities to connect with Advisors through larger community connections such as Mastermind groups, and interactive programs such as Advisor in The Crosshairs and our Conversations about Hard Things Program.

GrowthCraft Advisors are happy to help Founders understand the nature of the problem they face and ideas for addressing the problem. Advisors will consult with each other for this purpose, also. The number of 30-minute conversations is limited since Advisors have discretion on when and how to work with a Founder who needs in-depth assistance in a paid engagement.

No; however, much advisor-to-advisor collaboration occurs behind the scenes to help each member succeed, even if that member is not directly working with every advisor. For example, when a venture is facing a strategic issue that crosses domain expertise, GrowthCraft Advisors will put their heads together to come up with a holistic direction to pursue.

GrowthCraft Advisors each have broad and deep networks of professional contacts, so there’s a good chance we can tap into expertise that’s relevant for the most specialized venture. At the same time, the process of getting a startup ready for investors involves some basic activities and milestones, regardless of the industry segment or market being targeted. Your venture will benefit from expertise in that spin-up process.

It’s up to each Member. In general, to get the benefits of community, Members should expect to spend three to six hours a month engaged in GrowthCraft community activities.

Members work through problems together and share strategies for success, often facilitated or instigated by advisors, but there is no requirement to collaborate or to utilize goods or services provided by other members.

GrowthCraft can offer limited assistance in finding ways to promote the benefits of your venture. There’s no mechanism in place for more proactive marketing or promotion through GrowthCraft.
